Bug Art reached No. 1 in the App Store’s Kids and Education categories in multiple countries. Bugs & Buttons, Bugs & Buttons 2, Bugs & Bubbles, and Bugs & Numbers all reached the top ten on iPhone and iPad.

A very big chapter.
In 2011, I co-founded Little Bit Studio with a rather enjoyable concept: make educational games for children that they will actually want to play. I handled every bit of the visual design and art asset creation—from the app icons to the little worlds waiting behind them.
What began as a collection of playful ideas became a series of award-winning apps. Apple featured the Bug collection five times, and the games found their way into homes around the world. For me, this remains one of the great adventures of my career.

Apple took notice.
The Bug apps were featured by Apple five times across categories including Kids, Education, and Best New Apps. Bugs & Buttons also appeared in App Store Rewind 2011: Best of iPhone Education.
The Hangman collection earned two Apple features of its own—bringing my work’s total to seven appearances.
Kind words, counted.
Bugs & Buttons was named the most positively rated educational app for iOS by the Adjust Report.

My Bug Art and Bugs & Buttons icons were featured in Michael Flarup’s The iOS App Icon Book—a celebration of the craft of app icon design.
Seeing these two little squares on a printed page was a particularly lovely moment. A small part of this digital world, given a place on the bookshelf.
